The National Supervisory Committee- its responsibilities include organising, monitoring and controlling whether the auditors comply with the Auditing Standards and whether the entities authorised to carry out the audit of financial statements comply with the procedures of auditing (reviewing) of financial statements.
The National Supervisory Committee consists of 5 members.
The National Supervisory Committee was called for the first time by the last amended 'Law on Auditors and their self-governing body' and elected during the Extraordinary National Assembly of Statutory Auditors which was held on the 29-30th of June 2002 in Jachranka near Warsaw.
